Organic Brown Mustard - 9 oz. glass jar
Organic Brown Mustard is made of organic brown mustard seed grown on family farms in the cool high plains of Montana and Canada by those committed to building vital soil, maintaining a clean environment and producing the safest and most nutritious food. Brown mustard seed (Brassica juncea) is known for its strong character. The best ingredients and a simple recipe create a spicy flavor with a hint of natural sweetness, the way real brown mustard ought to be.
The seeds are first hammer milled and emptied into a stainless steel mixing tank containing pure water, organic apple cider vinegar and a bit of sea salt. After blending the ingredients the mixture is stone ground into a settling tank where it is aged for a few days before packing in glass jars.
Many commercial mustards are often made with mustard bran or a combination of seeds and bran. Many contain artificial coloring agents, synthetic additives, inferior quality salt, refined sugar, and irradiated spices. Furthermore, most contain distilled vinegar, acetic acid concoctions derived from the petrochemical and coal tar industry. Even many organic mustards are made using distilled vinegar. This produces a much less healthy mustard with a harsh biting flavor.
The organic apple cider vinegar contains 'mother', a visible mass of friendly bacteria present only in unpasteurized raw vinegar. The sea salt is from environmentally protected, pristine salt water marshes of Algarve, Portugal, triple sea water washed to remove impurities without removing valuable trace minerals.
Organic Brown Mustard is a delicious condiment and sandwich accent. It can be used to make a variety of salad dressings, vinaigrettes, basting and barbecue sauces, gravies, and as an ingredient in potato salad and coleslaw. I use this mustard to make salad dressing, and it tastes amazing. Very flavorful, and you don't have to use much.

This mustard adds just enough "zip" to your food to enhance the flavors. I am pleased to know that it is organic. The one thing that I hadn't taken into consideration when I purchased it is that brown mustard does not contain turmeric...an herb which is very good for you. However, organic yellow mustard has turmeric. Be that as it may, Organic Brown Mustard is a very good buy. It gives a very good flavor to cabbage, meats, fish. You can experiment for yourself and find out which foods you enjoy it as a seasoning or flavoring. It's a very good product. I just prefer organic yellow mustard because it contains turmeric. Still, I think that Organic Brown Mustard deserves five stars.

Taste is great, and love that it's organic. Like all organic foods, sure wish the prices were better so all can enjoy them!
